The following are sessions specifically directed at certain issues or training requirements.
An initial consultation to meet each other and the dog. Consults allow us to go through the needs of yourselves and the dog and help us build a plan for training. These are a requirement before any walks or training commences.
Sessions with the trainer.
Training sessions with myself where you can train your dog with the correct support and mentorship. Consistent feedback will be given as well as being able to build confidence with your dog while having help to consistently improve.
Your dog is taken on a structured walk with the trainer. The walk is based on the dogs current behavioural plan and training is put in place to suit. This is a great service if you are working and aren't able to make a 1-2-1 regularly.
An initial consultation and a 1-2-1 session must be completed before training walks can commence.
Walks will be planned depending on the breed and their needs. Lead rules will depend on the dog's recall and behaviour. If off-lead is not an option, a long lead can be supplied when possible to allow your dog to enjoy their walk and have ample opportunity to stretch their legs.
The following are courses specifically directed at certain issues or training requirements.
For puppies under 6 months, puppies will be exposed to different environments where we will teach them how to navigate the world safely and appropriately. Helping work through fear phases and build confidence. This will be 6 x 1 hr sessions; times can be flexible and aim to suit you the best we can.
Similar to our puppy course, however, this is tailored to older dogs who are able to be exposed to more surroundings. Any fear or anxiety will also be addressed throughout the course. An initial consultation will need to take place before the course can start so that we can tailor the course to best suit yourself and your dog. The course will consist of 6 x 1hr sessions along with constant support and follow-ups.
This course is for puppies under 6 months and covers basic obedience, an introduction to the lead and confidence building. This course consists of 4x 1hr sessions, that will help set them up for success as they come into adolescence. Support will be readily available outside session times as well.
This course will address reactivity regardless of what it is caused by. You will learn about threshold training and how it affects your dog as well. We will go through fixation and how to break it and redirect your dog. Lead work and engagement will be a massive factor, as well as finding out what their triggers are. Real dogs will be used to help work through dog reactivity. This will be 6x 1 hour sessions. This course aims to make your dog's reactivity more manageable as it improves.
Sessions tailored to specific training plans that are in a group setting with like-minded people.
These sessions are available to dogs that have had an initial consultation and a 1-2-1 session. These sessions include other reactive dogs who have also completed a consultation and a 1-2-1. These sessions are planned in advance to build a suitable group. Once a session is planned, it will be released on social media for you to book.
All services are subject to change however clients will be told in advance. Services provided are offered in the best interest for both owner and dogs. If any services are booked and are not right for a specific dog you will be advised to change to something more suitable.
Frankie was one of the originals
He started his training due to his reactivity to people and dogs.
Him and his owner have excelled at training and now he is non reactive, social and can be taken anywhere. He also helps other dogs in our group sessions.
Enzo is an amazing boy with loads of energy, loves people but isn't a massive fan of dogs.
Through exposure training and classes his reactivity has improved massively.
He now attends neutrality walks to continue his training.
Ollie is a sweet boy but can be a bit nervous of his environment. Cars were a big worry of his so we have completed some sessions to positively expose him to cars, bikes and buses. He has became much more confident and joins us on our group walks.
Bear first started his training earlier this year as he was terrified of people and would react out of fear.
Bears owners have been super committed and we have been doing weekly exposure sessions.
A dog that needed space and a muzzle now walks safely unmuzzled and relaxed in social settings.
Skye is your typical young retriever.
She loves attention and is super excitable.
We've been harnessing this energy and putting into more positive behaviours.
She loves obedience and heelwork!
Bruno has just started his journey working on his reactivity towards other dogs.
He has worked with Angus and learning how to be polite and walk along side loads of different breeds and sizes on out neutrality walks.
He's doing amazing so far.
" What can i say about Frankie if you had told me 2 months ago Frankie would be out walking passed bikes, people, joggers and other dogs no problem I would have said no chance. But after a few sessions with Kenny ( The Canine Co.) this is happening I can't believe it Kenny is great with Frankie. Frankie is enjoying his walks and so am I. Frankie and I have worked hard to get him to where he is now thanks to Kenny, still a bit to go but getting there, thank you so much."
"Thank you as Always! So proud of Enzo today, that was a big step for him with the distractions of other dogs! Wouldn't be making such progress without your help and guidance"
"Absolutely brilliant Kenny! thanks for helping us along this journey and getting Remi to enjoy being more dog."
"Shows the right trainer and training techniques really do help thank you so much"
"Had Bruno out today, took out a 5m retractable just for sniffing around a quiet field with a little bit of freedom, he loved it, was very good. A couple of dogs did pass the field bus as soon as he looked at them I recalled him and he was back instantly!! Was really good, obviously as we took the path I had his normal lead back out, again we walked past some dogs and a quick come on Bruno and walking how we practiced he was very calm!!"
"Thank you I learned so much in just one session, I'm feeling more confident already and really looking forward to classes now and more training opportunities with you. I've never seen Skye so relaxed and happy during and after a walk."
